The 29S occurrence is located about 44 kilometres southeast of the town of Fernie, about 1 kilometre north of Twentynine Mile Creek.
The 29S area is underlain by a northwest striking and steep westerly dipping complexly faulted package of Proterozoic, Paleozoic and Mesozoic sediments intruded by Cretaceous to Tertiary pyritic and altered trachyte-syenite plutons, dikes and sills. Rock chip sample 29S-11, located about 500 meters northeast of soil Anomaly A, was collected in 1986 by Cominco Ltd. Pertinent reports failed to discuss mineralization (if any) or rock type sampled. The sample assayed 0.34 gram per tonne gold and 4.3 grams per tonne silver over about 5 metres (Assessment Report 15095). Samples were analyzed for gold and silver only.
Soil Anomaly A straddles the ridge on the east end of Twentynine Mile Mountain and is 500 metres by 1000 metres in area with gold-in-soil values between 5 to 740 parts per billion, silver-in-soil values between 0.4 to 14 parts per million and lead-in-soil values between 10 to 660 parts per million (Assessment Report 15095).
