The Jackwolf showing is located about 30 kilometres northeast of Kimberly and about 800 metres southeast of Wolf Creek. The showing area is underlain by quartzite and quartz arenite of the Fort Steele Formation (Purcell Supergroup).
In 2012, sample SKPX12-43 was collected from a rusty, pyrite-bearing quartz breccia with goethite boxworks. This sample location was reported to be part of a larger zone of fracture-controlled mineralization consisting of chalcopyrite, pyrite, and malachite. Sample SKPX12-9 was collected from a nearby quartzite subcrop consisting of rusty quartz with malachite staining and goethite.
Sample SKPX12-43 graded 0.081 per cent copper, 0.126 grams per tonne gold, and 5.6 grams per tonne silver; adjacent sample SKPX12-9 graded 0.28 per cent copper, 24.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.096 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 33700).
