The Trail Creek showing is located about 34 kilometres east-northeast of Kimberley, and 250 metres southeast of Trail Creek. The showing area is underlain by sedimentary rocks of the Helikian Creston Formation (Purcell Supergroup) consisting of siltstone, argillite, and quartzite.
A sample was collected in 2011 from a flat bedding-parallel quartz vein containing goethite and pyrite with malachite stain. Sericitic and phyllitic alteration of the siltstone occurs over a 20-centimetre width along the vein margins. The sample (SKPX11-121) graded 1.04 grams per tonne gold, 4.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.064 per cent copper (Assessment Report 32868).
In 2011, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping, prospecting, and rock sampling, resulting in the collection of 660 rock samples. These samples were collected from seven map areas on their Dewdney Trail property called Jacleg, Lewis Creek, Trail Creek, Upper Tackle Creek, Tackle Creek, Upper Spirit Creek and M1 (Figure 1, Assessment Report 32868). All samples were assayed and plotted on map area and, except for samples MKPx 1 to 35, were briefly described and given a UTM location. In addition to rock sampling and mapping, PJX carried out trenching and diamond drilling on targeted areas of the property.
In 2016, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping and rock geochemistry sampling on the Dewdney Trail Property (Assessment Reports 36649).
