The Wolf Creek showing is located about 30 kilometres northeast of Kimberly and few hundred metres south of Wolf Creek.

In the Wolf Creek area, copper mineralization associated with quartz veins and fault breccias are developed within the Fort Steele-Aldridge Formation transition stratigraphy. Sizeable pyritic quartz vein breccias developed in the brittle Fort Steele Formation quartzites north of Wolf Creek represent a favorable target for gold mineralization. Only 1 sample of 15 taken in 2012 was of note. Sample SKPX12-23 graded 0.71 per cent copper, 0.027 per cent lead, 0.16 gram per tonne gold, and 9.1 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 33700). The sample was described as copper-stained (malachite?), goethite-rich quartzite breccia in vitreous Ft. Steele formation strata. Pyrite, copper, and galena are indicated at the Wolf Creek occurrence near or associated with quartz veins (Figure 3, Assessment Report 26662).

In 1993, a total of 100 rock samples and 1216 soil samples were collected by Inco Limited on their Lewis Creek property. The soil grid extended west about 3 kilometres from Lazy Lake and roughly 4 kilometres south from Lazy Lake (Assessment Report 23115).

In 2000, detailed geologic mapping and rock geochemistry were conducted on two separate areas of the Jacleg claims, adjacent to Wolf Creek and about 3 kilometres northeast of old workings (Copper King) and a new discovery of gold mineralization (Jacleg/Copper King, 082GNW136) in the central part of the claim block.

In 2000, National Gold Holding conducted detailed geologic mapping, prospecting, and rock sampling on two main areas of the Jacleg claims, adjacent to Wolf Creek and near old workings and a new discovery of gold mineralization in the central part of the claim block (Figure 3, Assessment Report 26662). Prospecting activity on the Jacleg property resulted in 106 rock samples being collected; an additional 25 samples were collected during geological mapping for a total of 131 rock samples. Samples from the Wolf Creek (if any were taken) are not indicated on maps or discussed.

In early 2012 field season PJX Resources Inc. conducted a program consisting of geological mapping, prospecting, and rock sampling (55 samples) on the Jacleg block (Assessment Report 33700). Work was completed primarily in the Wolf Creek area located in the north central portion of the property. Only 1 of 15 samples taken in the Wolf Creek occurrence area was significant.

Refer to the Jacleg (082GNW135) and the Lazy 19 (082GNW059) showings for related geological and work history detail.
