The Grundy Creek showing is located about 31 kilometres north-northeast of Cranbrook and 1 kilometre south of Grundy Creek. The showing area is underlain by rocks of the Helikian Purcell Supergroup, Fort Steele Formation consisting of quartzite and siltstone.

In 2011, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping, prospecting, and rock sampling, resulting in the collection of 660 rock samples. These samples were collected from seven map areas on their Dewdney Trail property called Jacleg, Lewis Creek, Trail Creek, Upper Tackle Creek, Tackle Creek, Upper Spirit Creek and M1 (Figure 1, Assessment Report 32868). All samples were assayed and plotted on map area and, except for samples MKPx 1-35, were briefly described and given a UTM location. In addition to rocks sample and mapping PJX carried out trenching and diamond drilling on targeted areas of the property.

The Grundy Creek showing is based on sample SKPX11-16a which graded 1.75 grams per tonne gold, 3 grams per tonne silver, and 0.025 per cent lead (Assessment Report 32868). This sample consisted of “flat vein cutting gabbro" with strong alteration consisting of pyrite, goethite, hematite, and sericite.

It should be noted that several other SKPX outcrop samples in the vicinity contained significant gold and one float sample located about 450 metres to southwest graded 58.7 grams per tonne (Assessment Report 32868). This sample (SKPX11-11) consisted of several pieces of rusty, purple-stained quartz vein material. Several other map-plotted samples in the same area with prefixes of “MKPx”. These yielded up to 3.4 grams per tonne gold, 11 grams per tonne silver, 0.89 per cent lead, and 66.5 parts per million molybdenum; however, no sample description was given in the report including if it was taken from outcrop or float.

In 2017, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping and rock geochemistry sampling on the Dewdney Trail Property, including the Grundy Area (Assessment Reports 38859).
