The Dewd showing is located about 30 kilometres east-northeast of Kimberley and about 600 metres west of Lewis Creek.
The Dewd showing occurs in an area of varved and/or dolomitic siltstone of the Helikian Aldridge Formation, Purcell Supergroup. In 2014, prospecting was carried out in the Lewis Creek area by PJX Resources Inc who collected 45 rock samples for analysis. Several outcrops hosting galena are marked on the “Lewis Creek Prospecting Map” (Assessment Report 35582). No samples were taken at this location.
In 2011, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping, prospecting, and rock sampling, resulting in the collection of 660 rock samples. These samples were collected from seven map areas on their Dewdney Trail property called Jacleg, Lewis Creek, Trail Creek, Upper Tackle Creek, Tackle Creek, Upper Spirit Creek, and M1 (Figure 1, Assessment Report 32868). All samples were assayed and plotted on map area and, except for samples MKPx 1 to 35, were briefly described and given a UTM location. In addition to rock sampling and mapping, PJX carried out trenching and diamond drilling on targeted areas of the property. Numerous rock samples were collected for analysis in the Dewd showing area.
In 2016 to 2022, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping, rock geochemistry sampling, airborne geophysics, and drilling on the Dewdney Trail Property (Assessment Reports 36649, 38859, 40906, 40908).
