The Dewdney 7 showing is located about 33 kilometres northeast of Kimberley and about 600 metres northeast of Lewis Creek. The showing area is underlain by sedimentary rock of the Helikian Creston Formation, Purcell Supergroup.
In 2014, prospecting was carried out in the Lewis Creek area by PJX Resources Inc. who collected 45 rock samples for analysis. A phyllitic zone, about 70 metres long and greater than 3 metres in width, hosts a flat quartz vein from 10 to 20 centimetres in width and a variable “vein density. . . over 0.75 metre”. Mineralization includes pyrite, galena, chalcopyrite, grey copper (chalcocite?), and azurite. Values from samples DT6, 7, and 15, ranged from greater than 1 per cent lead (maximum limit of analysis), 0.064 per cent copper, 0.05 per zinc, 1.49 grams per tonne gold and greater than 100 grams per tonne silver (maximum limit of analysis) (Assessment Report 35582). The phyllitic zone is also described as having iron-carbonate and sericite.
In 2016 to 2022, PJX Resources Inc. conducted geological mapping, rock geochemistry sampling, airborne geophysics, and drilling on the Dewdney Trail Property (Assessment Reports 36649, 38859, 40906, 40908).
