At the Weigert Creek East showing, a pelletal phosphorite approximately 1 metre thick occurs within a phosphatic sandstone of Permian Johnson Canyon Formation (Ishbel Group). It can be traced for a strike length of 29 metres. A bulk grab sample from this bed contains 15.8 per cent P205 (Open File 1987-16).
