The Jero 5 showing, which is in the Rossland property, is located approximately 5 kilometres southwest of Rossland and 1 kilometre east of Record Creek.

The showing consists of pyritic argillite of the Lower Jurassic Rossland Group, Elise Formation. These rocks are intruded within 500 metres to the northwest by a stock of the Middle Eocene Coryell Intrusions which varies in composition from syenite to monzonite and granite.

Mineralization occurs as pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrite and molybdenite veins. A chip sample of argillite taken over an unspecified length assayed 0.68 gram per tonne gold and 14.2 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 13449).

The Rossland property was originally staked in 1982 by Jero Resources Ltd. to cover an area outlined in the EM survey from the previous year.

In 1981, Rubicon Resources Ltd. completed an airborne electromagnetic survey in the area that outlined a number of electromagnetic anomalies. In 1983, Jero Resources Ltd. conducted two VLF-EM lines and three lines of geochemical samples. In 1985, Jero Resources Ltd. was amalgamated into Gunsteel Resources Inc. In 1986, Gunsteel Resources Inc. completed an electromagnetic ground survey and soil and rock sampling on the southern portion of the claim group.

In 1989, Gunsteel Resources Inc. executed a total of 1 kilometre of VLF-EM data and 2.2 kilometres of magnetometer data on the 1986 grid. An anomalous magnetic high was found, which coincides with a VLF-electromagnetic anomaly as well as a gold soil anomaly. In 1990, the company completed 7.8 kilometres of grid work and a 6-kilometre VLF-EM geophysical survey.

In 2006, Yellowstone Resources Ltd. acquired the claims from Gunsteel Resources Inc. in exchange for shares. Yellowstone Resources Ltd. then completed a geochemical soil sampling survey consisting of 120 samples. In 2007, the company conducted a geochemical soil survey consisting of 27 samples. In 2008, the company executed a 141 soil sample geochemical survey, which confirmed earlier findings of anomalous gold values in the soil. In 2010, the company completed geological mapping, magnetometer and VLF-EM geophysical surveys and a geochemical soil sampling survey. In 2012, the company conducted infill soil sampling in areas of anomalous soil geochemistry and collected four rock samples.
