The CK20-3 showing is located about 5 kilometres southwest of the village of Yahk.

The region of the showing is underlain by argillite, greywacke, wacke and/or conglomerate turbidites of the Helikian Aldridge Formation (Purcell Supergroup). Gabbro-diorite sills and dikes of the Proterozoic Moyie Intrusions intrude the sequence.

Sample CK20-3-BBc was reported to have been collected from a concretion-bearing lithology of unnamed type but likely fragmental or quartzite material. The concretion was described as containing chalcopyrite and bornite along jointing. Analysis of the sampled yielded 1.76 per cent copper (Assessment Report 39483).

WORK HISTORY

In 2020, a program of rock and soil sampling was conducted by Kootenay Resources Inc on their Moyie Anticline property utilizing both laboratory and portable XRF analytical techniques (Assessment Report 39483). During the 2020 field program more than 1420 XRF readings were taken and compiled. Several areas with anomalous lead, zinc, copper as well as gold were found during the program. The Moyie Anticline property covered parts of the 082GSW and 082FSE map areas.
