The Good Hope (L. 13526) occurrence is located east of Perry Creek, approximately 500 metres southeast of its junction with Waverley Creek and at an elevation of 1450 metres.
Regionally, the area is underlain by mid-Proterozoic rocks of the Aldridge, Creston and Kitchener formations (Purcell Supergroup). These are intruded by mid-Proterozoic diorite and gabbro sills and dikes of the Moyie Intrusions.
Locally, trenching has exposed a quartz vein or veins hosting pyrite with gold values.
In 1987, a rock sample (14522) assayed 14.0 grams per tonne gold, 6.8 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 17514).
The area has been historically explored by several trenches. In 1978, Meridian Resources completed a program of geochemical sampling and geological mapping on the area. During 1979 through 1985, Gallant Gold Mines completed programs of rock, soil and silt sampling, trenching, geological mapping and ground electromagnetic and magnetic surveying on the area as the Perry Creek property. In 1985, Trans-Artic Explorations completed an airborne geophysical survey on the area as the Nurse 1-2 claims. In 1987 and 1988, Chapleau Resources completed programs of soil, silt and rock sampling, trenching and geological mapping on the area as the Racki claims, Morgan property. In 1990, Swift Minerals completed a 77.0 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey on the area. Also, at this time Chapleau Resources completed a 14.8 line-kilometre combined ground electromagnetic and magnetic survey on the area as the Racki claims. In 1991, Dragoon Resources collected rock samples in the area.
