The Josey showing is located at the 17 km to 19 km area of Springer Creek Forest Service Road's northside branch, approximately 9.5 kilometres north east of Slocan.
Regionally, the area is underlain by granite and monzonite of the Nelson Batholith. These have been heavily fractured and faulted.
Locally, a vein, over 20 metres wide and 700 metres long, of predominantly calcite with lesser talc and quartz contains disseminated silver minerals. Sulphide and sulfosalt minerals were identified as argentite, metallic silver, galena, sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, dendritic manganite, stephanite and/or pyrargyrite. The vein is hosted in a porphyritic granite or monzonite.
In 2007, sampling of the vein returned values up to 8,660 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 31498).
