The Anne (Winlaw) copper occurrence is located on a ridge separating Pedro, Falls and Sproule creeks.

The area is underlain by granites of the Middle Jurassic Nelson Batholith with inclusions of older rocks. To the west these have been intruded granites of the Paleocene to Eocene Sheppard, Tuzo and Shingle Creek intrusions.

Locally, three zones of copper mineralization have been identified: 1) approximately 150 metres northwest of the border of the H.Y. 13 and 14 claims at an elevation of 1680 metres, 2) on the M 20 claim at an elevation of 1470 metres and 3) approximately 165 metres northwest of the H.Y. 15 and 16 claims border on the former Copper No. 2 claim, at an elevation of 1665 metres. Rock trenches are reported to expose the latter two zones.

Mineralization is primarily hosted by xenolith inclusions of older rocks in the granite and is comprised of chalcopyrite with lesser bornite. Epidote alteration is reported. A 6-metre shaft is reported to expose a 75-centimetre wide quartz vein.

The H.Y. 13-14 zone comprises a 1.8-metre wide and 10.5-metre long inclusion of fine-grained gneissic rock, trending northwest, in a fractured and massive granitic host. The zone hosts a 2.5- to 5-centimetre wide band of massive, fine-grained pyrite and chalcopyrite that trends to the northwest and dips steeply. In 1966, a select sample assayed 1.67 per cent copper, 30.8 grams per tonne silver and 0.3 gram per tonne gold (Property File - Quin, H.A. [1966-09-17]: Re: Copper Property Report).

The M 20 zone is composed of a pink, massive, medium-grained syenite hosting a small inclusion of volcanics with minor disseminated magnetite and pale-green staining.

The Copper No. 2 (H.Y. 15-16) zone is comprised of a hornblende diorite or syenite hosting disseminated magnetite with minor chalcopyrite and bornite. In 1966, a select composite sample assayed 0.69 per cent copper and 0.7 gram per tonne gold (Property File - Quin, H.A. [1966-09-17]: Re: Copper Property Report).

In 1966, Mega Mineral Ltd. surveyed the area as the S.G., H.Y., M, V.M. and H claims. In 1968, the area, likely to the north of the Mega claims, was surveyed by Giant Explorations Limited.
