The Marion occurrence is located at 1580 metres elevation on the northwestern flank of Idaho Peak. New Denver, British Columbia is located 3 kilometres to the northwest.
The Marion occurrence is located on the Marion Crown grant (Lot 2287). Workings on the Marion occurrence consist of three adits totalling about 122 metres on two? vein fissures.
Hostrocks of the Marion occurrence include massive argillite, carbonaceous slate and quartzite of the Triassic Slocan Group. These metasediments have been intruded by a small hornblende diorite stock.
The north quartz vein strikes 078 degrees and dips 60 to 85 degrees to the south and has been explored by two drift adits. The upper drift intersected an ore shoot of high-grade galena. The shoot was 2 to 61 centimetres wide by 1.8 to 3.0 metres long. On the No. 2 level, 30 metres of continuous mineralization was intersected. The lowest level intersected a vein striking 280 degrees and dipping 55 to 90 degrees northeast. Drifting intersected some galena and sphalerite.
Production records for the Marion occurrence indicate 47 tonnes of ore was mined in 1899, 1905 and 1909. Recovery included 186,898 grams silver and 24,467 kilograms lead.
