Narrow mineralized quartz vein 2.5 to 20 centimetres wide, in porphyritic granite of the Nelson Plutonic rocks contains gold, silver, lead, and zinc. Gold and silver ores were produced for a short period (1938-1940 and 1973). A grab sample of vein material assayed 104 grams per tonne silver, 64.4 grams per tonne gold, 0.28 per cent lead and 0.18 per cent zinc (Open File 1988-11).
