Capsule Geology

The Azlin (Upper adit) occurrence is located on the north side of Lisbon Creek, at an elevation of approximately 1600 metres. A lower adit is located approximately 800 metres down slope to the southeast, at an elevation of 1350 metres.

Regionally, the area is underlain by mid-Proterozoic rocks of the Aldridge, Creston and Kitchener formations (Purcell Supergroup). These are intruded by mid-Proterozoic diorite and gabbro sills and dikes of the Moyie Intrusions. Cretaceous quartz monzonite and granodiorite stocks occur just off the property to both the east and the west.

Locally, green, foliated phyllites near the contact with a meta- diorite and amphibolite host quartz veins with gold values.

In 1978, a rock sample assayed 0.7 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 7103).

In 1992, a sample from the former upper adit is reported to have assayed 8.6 grams per tonne gold, while a sample from the lower adit area yielded 0.27 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 22796).

The area has been historically explored by at least two former adits and several trenches. In 1978, Meridian Resources completed a program of geochemical sampling and geological mapping on the area. During 1979 through 1985, Gallant Gold Mines completed programs of rock, soil and silt sampling, trenching, geological mapping and ground electromagnetic and magnetic surveys on the area as the Perry Creek property. In 1984, Trans-Artic Explorations completed a program of soil sampling, geological mapping and a ground electromagnetic survey on the area as the Cougar 1-2 claims. In 1987, Chapleau Resources completed a program of soil, silt and rock sampling, trenching and geological mapping on the area as the Racki claims, Morgan property. In 1990, a 200 line-kilometre airborne geophysical survey was completed. In 1991, a program of rock and soil sampling was completed. In 1992, Wealth Resources prospected and sampled the area. In 1994, Wealth Resources completed a program of soil sampling and a 6.0 line-kilometre ground magnetic survey on the area. In 2006, the area was prospected as the Titanium claims.
