The Miny showing is located on the north side of McKinney Creek, approximately 6.5 kilometres south of community of Mount Baldy.

The area is underlain by granodiorite of the Middle Jurassic Nelson intrusions.

Locally, a 60 centimetre wide shear zone occurs in the granodiorite.

In 1989, a sample across the shear zone returned 418 parts per billion gold and 5.1 parts per million silver (Lee, L. (1989-01-08): Summary of Field Visit - Miny).

Work History

During 1975 through 1980, Lustre Resources completed programs of mapping, geochemical sampling and a magnetometer survey on the Sheila claims. In 1988 and 1989, the area was prospected by Minnova Inc. as a part of the Miny claims, which cover the former Sheila claims. During 2008 through 2012, Grizzly Discoveries Inc. completed programs of geochemical (rock, stream sediment and soil) sampling, geological mapping and airborne and ground geophysical surveys on the Dayton-Sidley area of the Greenwood Property.
