The Pac showing is accessed via a gravel road from Highway 3 to the Mount Baldy ski area. Approximately 2 kilometres before the ski lodge a forest service road (Wapiti Creek Road) provides access to the claim area with 4-wheel drive vehicles.
The occurrence lies within a complex sequence of volcanic and metasedimentary rocks of the Permian to Carboniferous Anarchist Group. Altered ultramafic and serpentinite bodies are abundant within the Anarchist Group.
Rock samples were taken from a variety of mafic and ultramafic plutonic rocks that comprise anorthosite, serpentinized anorthosite, gabbronorite, troctolite, serpentinite, feldspathic peridotite and gabbro. Mineralization consists of finely disseminated (1-2 per cent) chromite, pyrrhotite and pyrite. Highest results from the sampling were 424 ppm copper, 2146 ppm chromite, 121 ppb platinum and 80 ppb palladium. Rock sample RS02-004 of a fine-grained troctolite with less than 1 per cent disseminated chromite analysed 1556 ppm chromite and 1561 ppm nickel (Assessment Report 27155).
In 2002, a reconnaissance rock geochemical survey was completed over the Pac 1-12 claims and seventeen samples were collected and sent for analysis by owners/operators A.M. Kovacs and G.R. Davis.
