Access to the K1 showing is readily available from Cawston and Oliver, approximately 17 kilometres by road east of Cawston via the Blind Creek road and approximately 19 kilometres via the Fairview road west of Oliver.
The K1 showing is underlain by Carboniferous to Permian Kobau Group quartzite and mafic schist in close proximity to granodiorite of the Middle Jurassic Fairview intrusion. Quartz veins occur in greenstone schist of the Kobau Group. Rock grab samples taken from massive, milky quartz veins containing minor chalcopyrite analyzed up to 50 ppb gold, 505 ppm copper, 1003 ppm lead and 625 ppm zinc (Assessment Report 28979).
Several old test pits and trenches were found but clearly date from many years ago as evidenced by fir trees of up to 40 centimetres diameter growing in the test pits and trenches. Four days of prospecting traverses and sampling were completed April and September, 2006 by owner T.R. Webb.
