The Nicole occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 1020 metres, north of Windfall Creek and approximately 3.3 kilometres northwest of the creek’s junction with Boundary Creek.

Regionally, the area is underlain by chert, siliceous argillite and siliciclastic rocks of the Devonian to Permian Knob Hill Group, which are in fault contact with volcanic sandstone and siltstone, shale, conglomerate, tuffs and volcanic flows of the Eocene Penticton Group. Intruding all units are syenitic rocks of the Eocene Coryell Plutonic Suite, and the Knob Hill Group rocks have also been intruded by granodioritic rocks of the Cretaceous Anstey Pluton and Middle Jurassic granitic rocks.

Locally, a former adit exposes disseminated to massive sulphide mineralization in a quartzite or argillite. Sulphides include pyrite, pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite.

In 1983, two rock samples from the adits assayed 0.17 and 1.37 grams per tonne gold with 0.5 and 2.5 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 12007).

Other zones of mineralization are reported to the southeast on the former Gen claim and consist of a quartz vein hosting disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite and possible chalcopyrite; a chloritic schist hosting banded pyrite and, three areas of skarn associated with pulaskite dikes and limestone contacts hosting disseminated pyrite and limonite.

In 1983, a sample of chloritic schist with banded pyrite assayed 0.12 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 12007).

The area has been historically explored since the late 1800s or early 1900s, with two adits and a couple trenches likely dating to this time. In 1965, Scurry-Rainbow Oil Ltd. completed a program of geological mapping, soil sampling and various ground and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the PP claims.

During 1983 through 1987, Coronado Resources Inc. completed programs of prospecting, rock and soil sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Nicole and Gen claim. In 2006, Kootenay Gold Corp. prospected the area immediately west as the Win claim.
