A widespread molybdenum soil anomaly occurs in the southernmost part of the Hop claim group. Molybdenum mineralization is reported at the contact between Eocene Coryell porphyry and rock of the Anarchist group (Devonian to Permian Knob Hill Group). Copper soil anomalies occur throughout the Hop claim but no visible in situ mineralization was reported. Dekalb Mining Corporation held the Hop, Lee and Bar claim in 1970 and collected 2200 a soil samples for analysis.

During 2008 through 2012, Grizzly Discoveries Inc. completed programs of geochemical sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysical surveys on the area as the Greenwood property.
