Capsule Geology

The WESTBANK agate nodules are exposed in a bluff located just north of the old ferry landing across Okanagan Lake from Kelowna.

The nodules are found in a brown sandstone and clayey siltstone which are interbedded with minor volcanic breccia and pyroclastic rocks of the Eocene Penticton Group, White Lake Formation.
